Chinese Drywall Update

This winter's rising foreclosure statistics promise to keep presenting more opportunities for home buyers for a long time!

In September 2010, it was estimated that 18.8 million homes were vacant in the United States.  Most of these vacant homes were foreclosed properties.  Many of which have been sitting vacant for quite some time!

Kross Inspectors has had a significant increase in requests from Home Buyers and Lenders over the past few weeks to perform Chinese Drywall Inspections on foreclosure properties.  Both parties have different motives for requesting our inspections:

• Home Buyers: Home Buyers ask us to inspect the property to help protect their investment.  Many realize that the cost of remediating a property with Chinese Drywall typically far exceeds the value of the property. Many Home Buyers are also finding that lenders and insurance companies are requiring our Chinese Drywall Inspection prior to writing a mortgage or insurance policy on homes built during the suspected time period.
