Do you smell that?

Now that we are "cooling off" a little, many home owners are beginning to engage their heating system for the first time in many months.  One of the first things they notice after the heat turns on is the "burning" smell coming from their registers!  Often, it is not a serious issue, but is caused by the unit being dirty. 

This is another reason it is so important to have your air conditioning and heating system cleaned professionally every year.  We always recommend to our home buyers to have the system cleaned immediately upon closing on a home, then again every Fall.  If you have the unit cleaned shortly before having to use the heater, you can avoid much of that burning odor!
