As most of you are aware, 2010 is a very important year for Home Inspectors.  On July 1, 2010, we will join the ranks of other Florida Professionals in being required to be licensed by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulations to perform Home Inspections.  The new law is designed to protect consumers and users of Home Inspection Reports.  This will have a significant impact on how Realtors, Consumers, Law Firms, Insurance Companies, and other users of Home Inspection services choose their Home Inspector beginning 7/1/2010. 

This new law will affect ALL forms of Home Inspections, including:

• Purchase Home Inspections
• Chinese Drywall Inspections
• Insurance Inspections (Wind Mitigation, Four Point, etc.)
• HomeWatch Inspections
• And any other form of Inspection performed on any element of a home provided in a written report.
